Two sites containing the former School and Hospital are zoned for residential development. The client adopted a Partnering Policy early in the process to establish the suitability of the sites for redevelopment. We were commissioned by Fyne Homes to prepare a full site appraisal in connection with the ground conditions and infrastructure while assisting the architect with rationalizing the layouts and the Quantity Surveyor with developing the Cost Plan. This early input included close collaboration with representatives from the Planning Department, Local Authority Roads and Drainage Sections and SEPA who all came to the table, at the clients request as part of the project partners. This set-up proved valuable and helped to overcome many pre-planning hurdles. This project is currently under construction and will deliver 88 units and 8 serviced plots.
