The company will provide the successful candidate with support whilst working towards becoming chartered. Senior Engineer / Associate Director
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our Glasgow team and work on a variety of projects to provide robust, and cost effective design solutions to our clients. The role will involve undertaking Structural design on a range of public and privately funded projects utilising steel, reinforced concrete and traditional building methods.
As you evolve to Team Leader role your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
· Planning and coordinating technical input to projects
· Prepare analysis & design of all technical aspects including thorough detailed research
· Preparation of bid documentation for technical submissions
· Representing the practice at Client facing meetings
· Liaison with Design Teams and Clients
· Financial management of projects relative to in-house costs
To be considered for this role candidates will be ideally educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline and working towards/gained professional membership of either the Institution of Civil Engineers or the Institution of Structural Engineers. You will have experience in the design of steel, concrete, timber and masonry. It is preferable but not necessary if you are an Approved Certifier registered with SER Ltd.
Candidates will also need to demonstrate compliance with Industry standard software (analysis and design) packages.
